file sculpture
Choose a file and use its hash to seed a 3D simulation.
Change the rules, replay it, or save the result as an image.
Presets change the simulation settings, not your file or particle budget.
A swirling vector field bends particles into folded currents.
Stochastic neighborhoods stitch nearby particles, with rare long-range bridges.

—Same bytes + rules + budget + duration = same final geometry. Palette and construction can change without replaying physics.
Particle count
Below your budget, every byte gets a particle. The full hash seeds the initial conditions and motion rules. Above the budget, the displayed count is capped explicitly. Empty files have zero particles.
How it works
Particles evolve at fixed 1/60-second steps. At the chosen time, positions freeze and colored edges or faces appear. Ribbons preserve up to 96 particle histories; the weave joins pairs across time. Coral retains its live growth bonds. Extra connections are bounded stochastic samples, not an all-pairs mesh.
File privacy
File contents are hashed locally in chunks, never executed, decoded, or stored by this tool. No analytics. Once loaded, it works offline. This is generative art, not a malware detector. Arrow keys and +/− also control the camera.
